I’m Back!

Hello Everyone! It’s been quite awhile since I have been on here. What I have been up to for the last two years: finished nursing school, moved to Mississippi for 6 months(where we found out we were expecting our first baby), moved to NY(primary residence)  and had the most wonderful gift God could ever give this past April, our baby Matthew. I’ve been busy as a stay at home mama for now, and got inspired again and started doing photos. Lots of new changes are happening with my photography and I can’t wait to get new clients. Please email me at sarahrossphoto@hotmail.com for inquiries.

PS, if you use the contact me button on the side please include your email, even in the message, had several emails that I could never respond to because there was no email address. 😦

Here are a few shots of my current work:

Summer Sessions

Hey everyone! I am so behind on blog posts! I have been super busy this summer with sessions, and I thank you all for your business and support, it was a super successful summer. I am also getting a lot of requests for next year as well, so thank you everyone for helping my business grow! I am starting school within the next two weeks, so sadly my business will have to come second, which means less sessions and limited availability. So if you are interested in a session please contact me ASAP to check availability in the Fall-Winter. For now, here are a few sessions I did this past summer:

Here is a beautiful engagement session of Candace and Pat. The location was in Bitumen PA, and it was heaven for a photographer.

I had the opportunity to do another baby session! I love doing these! Here is cutie Keira, she was perfect for her session!

Lastly,  a baby mama session. Connie lives right down the street from my parents so we went to the small park near by, and got some family shots, and some of her son Patrick who is adorable. It was a great time, and soon I will hopefully be doing her new additions photos too!

Baby Bump Sessions – Chelsea – (Central and Renovo PA Photographer)

I am pleased to post my very first maternity session! Chelsea was very good to work with, she had some great ideas for poses as well as being open to anything. I went to her house for the session and her back yard was perfect to get some really nice shots. I hope you all enjoy some of my favorites from her session!

Children Sessions – Landon – (Central PA Photographer)

Hey everyone! Remember my newborn session with Baby L? Well, he is now 7 months old and is super cute! Again, he was an easy subject to shoot. Very happy and he loved working the camera. He was such a good sport! Thanks again to Lorin and Mark for letting me photograph your little one. I can not wait to photograph him again in the future and capture him growing up! 🙂

Weddings – Amber and Kyle – Central PA Photographer

This weekend I had the pleasure of photograph this lovely couples special day! Kyle and I graduated together so when he and Amber asked me to do their wedding I was thrilled and also honored. Their wedding took place in Renovo and although the day was mostly cloudy and had some sprinkles of rain, we were able to fit in some awesome photos. I took the wedding party down to the River Road in North Bend, a prime location that I love to shoot at. Amber and Kyle are very photogenic and make a gorgeous couple. The wedding party altogether was a blast to work with and I had such a fun time photographing their wedding. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their big day:

Thank you Kyle and Amber for letting me photograph your wedding day! It was such a pleasure to work with you and your families. 🙂

2012 Seniors – Jonathan T.

Here are Jonathan’s pictures that I took just yesterday. Jonathan and his family are good friends of my family. They are here visiting and I was given the opportunity to take his seniors! We went down to my sister’s house where she has a little creek that is superb for photo shoots. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from his session:

Rock the Dress – Lindsay T.

Here are a few more photos of Lindsay’s session. Enjoy!

Rock The Dress – Central PA Photographer

Today we were blessed with beautiful weather and was able to finally go through with my free Rock the Dress sessions. Due to it being fathers day weekend my other volunteers could not make it and will have a session done at a different time. However, I was lucky to have one bride make it and get the full treatment. Connie Tarantella from Connie’s Cuts Above did Lindsay’s(my wonderful bride model) hair and make-up. We then trekked out into the woods to find a beautiful camp with a pond and a patch of dandelions(my dream!). I got beautiful shots of Lindsay in her gorgeous gown. It was so much fun and it was such a great opportunity for me to get my creative juices flowing and of course to showcase Connie and I’s businesses. Thank you so much Lindsay for being such a great person to work with, and of course thank your husband for being the only dude there among us girls, he was a great sport! Connie you were amazing and I can’t thank you enough for collaborating with me on my shoots, I can’t wait to work with you again in the future. I hope you all enjoy this little sneak peek from today! 🙂

If any brides or high school girls who are interested in a Rock the Dress Session(Prom or Bridal) please let me know.

R. Family – Central PA Photographer

Hello all! I know I have not been on here for a long time, my apologies. I did, however, end the semester on a very good note and I am getting my summer schedule planned which include LOTS of sessions! I will be posting on here more frequently now that I have more time to put into my business. Be on the look out for upcoming weddings, baby, maternity, and of course family shoots. Which are all occurring this summer! I am looking forward to meeting all my clients this summer and can not wait to start photographing!

Here is a session that I did in the fall. This is my sister and her family, minus her husband. You might remember Maddie from my previous senior shoots. It was a gorgeous day and we had a blast! I finally got the chance to edit these, as I got hung up on other clients at the end of last year and I just did not have time to work on these. Enjoy:

Rock The Dress Sessions

I want to add Rock the Dress sessions to Sarah Ross Photography. Being a recent bride myself I have been wanting to do this myself, but really haven’t had the time or a photographer to do it. These are somewhat new to the photography world. They are sessions for brides only to put on their wedding gown again and have a shoot that is fashion forward and edgy. Let’s face it, there are just not enough photos in our wedding albums of ourselves in our wedding gown, least I don’t think so. 🙂 I have been watching some of my favorite photographers do these, and they are really cool, kind of personal and look like a lot of fun. Some even call it a Trash the Dress Session, because they are outside and some brides they even get them to go in water with their dress and sometimes mud! I am not looking for this too much, unless the bride really wants to go there. But my sessions will be all outside, but we will do our best to not make that beautiful dress too dirty. We can be as creative as you want to be!

Since these sessions are new I need volunteer MODELS! I am looking for any recent married bride, or any bride who wants to put on their wonderful gown again and get a personalized fashion photo shoot with it! These will all be free mini photo sessions for anyone who wants to participate! As I have said before, I won’t be doing anything new until the Spring, so these will not start or be held until May. Please e-mail me if interested, I can give you more details about the session etc. And tell anyone that you think would be interested!

Rock The Dress

Here is a storyboard I did up of an idea for a rock the dress session. Hopefully, this gives you an idea of what a session is like, I tried my best to get realistic pictures/places. This is the first storyboard I did so it’s kind of rough, and for some reason my computer didn’t want to fully load the pictures, that’s why you see some blotches! Ugh!

Storyboards are also a new thing to Sarah Ross Photography. I will be making up “idea” storyboards for particular sessions to give my clients a better idea of what to wear, what we will be doing, and where the session will take place. That way they feel more comfortable during the session, and know more of what to do. This will be primarily used for engagements, rock the dresses, maternity, and possibly family photo shoots.

***I got some inquiries about the sessions. And to help further answer your questions, think if it like a second life for your dress. We spent the money on it, and look good in it, so why not bring it back to life and have your own session with it! Why not wear it TWICE? When else are you going to wear it again? So before you put it away or get it preserved, go out with a bang, and get an awesome shoot with your beautiful wedding dress! I’m doing this in hopes to add this as one of my services, and include in wedding packages. The bride is not obligated to buy any prints, but I will use the images for my portfolio and blog. Again please e-mail me or msg me on facebook to answer any questions, or to set up an appointment!
